Our Services:

New Drain Covers

Certified Swimming Pools of California carries the state-of-the-art drain covers to comply with the mandate at the most economical cost.  You can see the channel drain on the product tab.  Utah was the first state in America to totally comply with the Federal mandate.  Every product that came out since the mandate was tested and proven or rejected by the contractors in that state.

California has just started doing retrofitting.  What we found, to our surprise, was that installation techniques and procedures that were abandoned last year in Utah, because they were too slow and expensive, are still being used in California.  The state of the art products are still not even available at the pool supply houses but have to be special ordered or purchased in Las Vegas or Salt Lake City.  Certified Swimming Pools of California has pallets of them ready to install in your pool.

Water Conservation When Emptying Pool

If your pool needs to be drained to retrofit or replaster, you have two choices:

  1. Pump the water down the sewer then refill when you are ready from the local water company.  Because of the drought, some water companies will fine you for too much water use.  The average pool uses 17,000 gallons while oversized pools use about 30,000 gallons.

  2. Certified Swimming Pools of California has storage tanks that can be brought on site.  The water is pumped out of the pool and into the tank. After the pool repair is complete the water is then pumped back into the pool.

The latter is the water conservation approach.

Underwater Pool Services

The most cost effective way to do any pool repair or retrofit, if it is at all possible, is to not go through the time and expense of emptying the pool at all.  When you empty pools, the plaster dries out and 25% of the time, it peels off the walls.  When that happens you must replaster.  Certified Swimming Pools of California has a Certified Scuba Diver who knows the most cost effective manner to repair or retrofit.  Scuba diving can be used for many purposes, including:

Before you spend thousands to do a retrofit or repair using conventional procedures contact the Certified Swimming Pools of California customer service representative and find out if Underwater Pool Service will work for you.

Note: Code requires that any electrical work to Light repair/Replacement must be done by a licensed electrician.  Certified Swimming Pools of California works with electricians by bringing the fixture out of the water so that the electrician can work on it.

Plaster Services

With our experience you can create your pool in a rainbow of textures and colors.  The rainbow goes from the deep black, to the conventional pure white.  There are literally a hundred colors to choose from.

You or our interior decorator can color coordinate the plaster color to match your pool tiles.  There is also a plethora of textures to give your pool any look you desire.  When it comes to residential pools and spas, Certified Swimming Pools of California can accommodate your every need regardless of how difficult or unusual you want.

Commercial pools and spas are like Henry Ford's old Model-T, you could have any color black you wanted.  The health department—the agency that regulates pools and spas—says you can have any color white you want.  Of course that doesn’t mean you cannot have any texture you want in that white.

If your pool has been painted or replastered twice already, a third coat will not stick.  In that case Certified Swimming Pools of California will give you a full strip to gunite job.  That means the pool walls are taken down to the concrete and created new from there.

While doing a replaster job to your pool, might be the perfect time to bring your pool up to the newest codes by installing the new channel drain cover, pool railing, and the divider tile, located at the bottom of the pool separating the shallow from the deep.
